How To Use

1 Set The Contract

Choose spot, USDT futures, or coin-margined futures. Pick a coin and enter your entry price.

2 Map Your Exits

Add up to three prices and the share closed at each. A losing exit is shown in red.

3 Include Your Costs

Set position size, leverage, fees, and funding. Inverse size is the USD contract value.

4 Read The Net Result

Compare net profit and ROE, check break-even, then save the chart or share your setup.

Worked Example

A 0.5 BTC long at $65,000 with 10x leverage, closed at $70,000 with 0.05% fees each side, nets +$2,466.25. Gross profit is +$2,500.00, fees total $33.75, and initial margin is $3,250.00. With no funding, ROE is +75.88%.

The Formula

Long Gross = Coins x (Exit - Entry) Short Gross = Coins x (Entry - Exit) Net = Gross - Opening Fee - Closing Fees - Funding Initial Margin = Entry Notional / Leverage ROE (%) = Net / Initial Margin x 100 Inverse Gross (Coin) = USD Contract Value x Direction x (1 / Entry - 1 / Exit)

The futures profit calculator uses the linear PnL structure in Bybit's and Binance's published examples. The shared math tests reproduce Bybit's closed PnL example of 400 - 1.32 - 1.10 - 2.10 = 395.48 USDT. Inverse calculations use the Binance COIN-M and Bybit inverse structure documented in the source notes.

These estimates don't model liquidation, slippage, taxes, changing funding rates, or exchange rounding. A profitable planned exit may never be reached.

Crypto PnL Calculator FAQ

How Is Crypto Profit Calculated?
For a long spot or USDT futures trade, gross profit is coins times the difference between exit and entry price. For a short, reverse the price difference. Net profit subtracts opening fees, closing fees, and funding. Each exit uses its share of the position.
What's The Difference Between ROE And Profit Percent?
ROE compares net profit with your initial margin. Profit percent on the position compares net profit with the full entry value. With a fixed position size, higher leverage reduces initial margin and raises the size of ROE, but it doesn't change the dollar profit.
How Do Fees Change My Profit?
The opening fee applies to entry value. Each closing fee applies to that exit's value. Both reduce net profit, even when price doesn't move. The rate chips are examples. Check your exchange's fee page for your actual rates.
What's A Break-Even Exit Price?
It's the single exit price where the whole position nets zero after both trading fees and the funding you entered. A long usually needs to exit above entry to cover costs. A short usually needs to exit below entry. This estimate doesn't include slippage.
How Does Funding Affect A Futures Trade?
Choose a signed rate per eight hours and hours held, or enter a direct amount. A positive rate means longs pay and shorts receive. A positive direct amount is paid by you; a negative amount is received. Rate estimates use entry value and prorate hours. Spot has no funding.
How Do Coin-Margined Profits Work?
Inverse contracts use a USD contract value and settle profit in the coin. Gross coin profit is contract value times direction times (1 / entry minus 1 / exit). Fees and funding are also in coin. This tool values aggregate coin amounts in USD at the final exit price. That conversion is an estimate, not realized USD proceeds.
How Are Multiple Exits Handled?
Use up to three exit prices and percentages. If the percentages total less than 100%, the remainder goes to the last exit. If they exceed 100%, they're scaled down to 100%. If all are zero, the exits get equal shares. Per-exit net subtracts that exit's closing fee; the total also subtracts opening fees and funding.
