Crypto Trading, Leverage and Liquidation Statistics

Leverage is what makes a liquidation possible: when price moves against a borrowed position far enough, the exchange closes it. On Oct 10 and 11, 2025, that happened to more than 1.6 million traders in one day. Our leverage and liquidation calculator shows the price where a position gets closed, and the position size calculator sizes a trade to the stop.

How We Collected These Numbers

Every number on this page comes from a page or file we opened on Nov 3, 2026: government reports, company filings, research firms, exchange data and public price feeds. We then opened each source a second time and checked that the number really appears there. Numbers we could not confirm were left out.

Where two trackers disagree, such as market cap or global owners, we show both. Live numbers, like prices and stablecoin supply, carry the exact time we pulled them. Survey numbers describe the group the survey asked, so a U.S. survey is never used as a global figure.
